French Braid Quilt Class!

Jamie's French Braid quilt class finished their quilt tops - and they are magnificent!  Everyone ended up using batiks, but in different shades.
Thea used pastels to create this stunner!  The students had 'homework' before their second class.  The quilt came out with such precision.
Shirley's earth tone batiks are gorgeous as well!  Everyone agreed that the key to their success was the wonderful teaching skills of Jamie.  She will be teaching a French Braid table runner and place mat class on the 8th and 22nd of March.  A couple of spots may be open so sign up if you are interested.

Crafty Quilter (and Sewer!)

We LOVE when our wonderfully creative customers come in and show us what they have made with our fabrics!  It is just amazing and inspiring to see how different people see and use the fabrics.  This bag  is made crafted using the new Sugar Pop fabrics.  Gorgeous!  Thanks for sharing!

Crafting Quilting Idea

It's always so great to be around other quilters and see what they are doing.  I get some super ideas and knowledge from watching and listening.  Today at the French Braid Quilt class, Thea had her bobbins secured with kids' hair bands.

I was told this was an idea that was seen in the past at quilt shows and shops.  I was thinking - as was Thea - more towards the hair accessories isle at CVS!   My bobbins are always running away with their tails behind them so I'll be running a little errand this week to organize my sewing box!
